What is a Xeriscape?


Xeriscape means smart landscaping. This website and the materials we promote are intended to create environmentally friendly landscapes, wherever you live. You can be friendly to the environment by choosing plants for your yard that require little water, and by using soils that retain water more efficiently.

We've developed a brochure that helps you understand the geography and geology of Central Texas, plus the steps required to create and maintain a Xeriscape.
